A LITTLE ABOUT YOUR CLUB?

We are a long established, well organised Club affiliated to Scottish Golf and the Ayrshire Golf Association. Members can obtain a World Handicap System (WHS) handicap which is valid at any course throughout the world. In addition to formal competitions, we also run outings and fun competitions.

WHO CAN JOIN?

Whilst the Club is currently made up entirely of male adult golfers, we are open to applications from golfers of any age or gender.

WHICH COURSES AND DAYS DO YOU HOLD COMPETITIONS ON?

During the main summer golf season, virtually all our weekend competitions take place over Belleisle from the White Tees. Members can play on either Saturday or Sunday. We also run weekly midweek competitions with members having the option to play Wednesday or Thursday. The majority of these competitions take place from the Yellow Tees at Belleisle with a once a month medal from the White Tees at Seafield.

All our Summer Competitions count for handicap purposes. Over the winter months, we run mid-week and weekend winter league competitions. These are usually held over Seafield but we do also use other Golf South Ayrshire courses during the winter period.

DO YOU HAVE OTHER OPENS, CLUB CHAMPS, TEAM MATCHES ETC?

The Club runs annual knockout singles and pairs competitions with the winners going forward to the Ayrshire Golf Association (AGA) knockout competitions. We have an annual keenly contested match against Ayr Carrick GC and we also enter a team for the AGA Presidents Putter competition. We also have annual Club Championships – scratch and handicap.

WHAT ARE THE OTHER BENEFITS OF JOINING YOUR CLUB?

Membership of our Club is currently £60.00 per year which includes the member specific affiliation fees to Scottish Golf and AGA. Active members of the Club will find they recoup much of their subscription through the subsidies the Club pays towards Outings, Team Matches and our Annual presentation night. We also make real efforts to ensure our new members are integrated in to the body of Club and to this end we hope to shortly reintroduce our tee ballots, which ceased during Covid. This should result in any member wishing a game getting one. You will find we are a genuinely friendly bunch!
